How to Create, Edit and evaluate an Opportunity and convert to Proposal

How to create an Opportunity

Select Opportunities

Select the Create Opportunity button

Complete details then select 'Create'

How to edit Opportunity Details

Select the 3 dots then Edit or Delete

How to update Opportunity Status

Navigate to the Status of an Opportunity then Select between Active or Cancelled. All other changes will be done automatically while the opportunity progresses through it's project life cycle.

How to complete your Bid Evaluation (part of Pro)

Navigate to the BNB tab within the Opportunity record

Note:

  • The Bid Evaluation tool (BNB) is part of Proteus Pro subscription.

  • Based on your answers to the questions through the stepped process, your assessment outcome in the left hand summary pane is adjusted including recommendations

Step 1 - Go/No Go

Complete the questions in this step to evaluate if this opportunity should be taken further

For each question throughout the evaluation tool you can create and save notes. Navigate to the right of relevant question to record your notes and select 'Save'

After you have completed the questions in every step, select Save & Next Step

Based on your answers, a pop-up may appear to request for more information and/or provide your comments. Complete your comments and select your bid decision.

Determine how difficult the proposal will be to write and allocate time and budget accordingly

Step 4 - Winning Strategy

Think about how to develop a winning bid

Step 5 - Risk Analysis

Identify risks and determine mitigating actions

How to progress and Opportunity

Once your bid evaluation has been completed, navigate to Summary, Select 'Progress to Proposal'

In the pop-up select the appropriate Bid or No Bid decision to progress your Opportunity to the next status
